FAOG Parfaite Harmonie – A Pulpit Planted in the Community!

The pulpit was planted at the entrance of the church building and the congregation faced the community. The church walls served as the backdrop, accentuated by a wooden cross.  From this unusual vantage point, the outstation at La Parfaite Harmonie presented the message of a risen Christ to the community on Sunday, 17th April 2022.

This First Assembly of God outstation of over 200 regular attendees, sought to share their Easter Sunday celebration by taking it to the streets. They inverted the seating arrangement and pulpit so that the residents and passers-by of La Parfaite Harmonie could benefit from the message of Rev. Dr Marcel Hutson. At one point in his message, the evangelist boldly declared, “Jesus is able to keep, He is able to save and He is able to satisfy.” Those traversing the nearby roadway in canter trucks, minibuses, private cars, and bicycles alongside passers-by heard the message of hope. This must have been a different but reassuring phenomenon for the community on a Sunday morning, amidst their market shopping or cultural preparation for kite flying. Kudos to the leadership team at our outstation, led by Rev. Dr Marcel Hutson and Elder Deborah Hutson who demonstrated the evangelical principle of ‘each one, win one.’

Below you will find a collection of media capturing the celebratory atmosphere and unique evangelism approach of this growing outstation.
